RELEASE NOTES
v2.4.0 β βDEAD MAN'S GRIPβ
Arming now requires a sustained hold through 70% of the charge. Release early and nothing happens, which is the point.
Past 70%, the beam proceeds without you. The amber line on the gauge marks where your options narrow.
v2.3.1 β βQUIETβ
Aborting the beam now also aborts the sound of the beam. Physics conceded the point.
v2.3.0 β βMERCYβ
An ABORT control has been added to the arming sequence. Holding it discharges the beam, restores baby mode, and produces a feeling formally classified as relief.
Restraint is now a supported feature.
v2.2.4 β βLOWER CASEβ
Field units no longer announce βcapital.β The Operator is a baby; all letters are equally enormous to him.
v2.2.3 β βBILLOWβ
The mushroom cloud's column now billows properly. Witnesses described the previous hard edge as βthe least of our concerns,β but we fixed it anyway.
v2.2.2 β βNEGATIVE SPACEβ
Arming warnings re-timed so each may be heard in full. Two were removed to make room.
The silence between warnings is intentional. Do not fill it.
v2.2.1 β βIT SPEAKSβ
Two arming warnings replaced after focus-group feedback described them as βtoo reassuring.β
The replacement text was not written by anyone currently employed here.
v2.2.0 β βCONSEQUENCE ENGINEβ
MEGA BEAM charge cycle extended to 15 seconds. Dread should be savored, not rushed.
Warning narration reliability improved on portable field units. The voice now reaches everyone.
